Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

StethNet is operated by Stethnet (“StethNet”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the StethNet website and its professional networking and recruitment services.

Our correspondence address is Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. For privacy questions or requests, email stethnet@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create and use an account, such as your name, email address, account role and authentication details. A doctor profile may contain specialties, experience, location, biography, qualifications, registration details, a résumé, photograph and submitted credential documents. An organisation account may contain institution details and the names, work contact details and roles of its representatives.

We also process information created through use of the service, such as job listings, applications, messages, invitations, saved candidates, published content, account preferences, verification decisions and support requests. Where you buy a paid service, we record the plan, order, payment status, invoices and related billing identifiers. Payment checkout is provided by Razorpay; payment details you enter there are handled under Razorpay’s own terms and privacy notice.

When you use the website, technical information needed to operate and protect it may include session cookies, device and browser information, IP address and security or error logs. StethNet also stores your theme preference.

Please do not upload identifiable patient information to ordinary recruitment, networking or messaging features.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to create and secure accounts; display professional and institution profiles; provide search, matching, applications and messaging; review credentials and institution information; operate subscriptions and payments; send service messages; respond to support and grievance requests; detect misuse; and meet legal obligations.

We may use profile, specialty, location and opportunity information to rank or recommend relevant people and jobs. Verification badges reflect only the checks described in the applicable Doctor Terms or Organisation Terms.

3. Who can see information

Information in a public profile, job listing or published post may be visible to visitors and other users. Authorised institution representatives can view professional information made available for recruitment and can contact doctors through StethNet. A doctor’s email and phone are shared with an institution after the doctor applies to one of its jobs. A recruiter’s contact details are shared with the doctor after the recruiter shortlists the doctor. Résumé access also depends on the doctor’s available profile controls.

Private credential documents and registration details are used for verification and are not displayed as part of a public verification badge. People you message can see the messages you send them. Institution team members may see information needed to manage their institution account.

We share information with service providers that help us host the website, store uploaded files, deliver email, process payments and protect the service. We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect users and the service. We do not sell doctor contact information to third parties.

4. Your choices and requests

You can update many profile details and available visibility or communication preferences in your account. You can ask us to correct or delete information, request information about our handling of your data, or raise a privacy grievance by emailing stethnet@gmail.com. We will handle requests in line with applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

If you ask to close an account, some information may still need to be retained for legal obligations, payment records, security, dispute handling or records of transactions with other users.

5. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and for the purposes described above, taking account of legal requirements and the nature of the information. We use technical and organisational safeguards to limit unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

6. Cookies and external services

StethNet uses cookies needed to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores your theme choice. Login through Google and payments through Razorpay involve those providers; their own privacy notices apply to information they process in their services. Links to other websites are governed by the policies of those websites.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its last updated date will appear on this page. Where required, we will give additional notice.
