Last updated: 29 September 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your registration and use of the StethNet website, professional networking features, job platform, messaging features and related services (“Platform”).

StethNet is operated by Stethnet (“StethNet”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our correspondence address is Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

By completing doctor onboarding and selecting the agreement checkbox, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle personal information.

1. Purpose of StethNet

StethNet is a professional networking and recruitment platform intended to connect doctors, healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations.

  • connect and communicate with other healthcare professionals;
  • discover employment opportunities;
  • apply for jobs;
  • communicate with hospitals and recruiters;
  • share professional or educational content; and
  • use other professional networking services made available by StethNet.

StethNet is not a hospital, medical establishment, healthcare provider or medical practitioner.

Unless StethNet expressly launches a separately regulated service for such purpose, the Platform is not intended to provide medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, emergency medical assistance or patient referral services.

3. Professional Credentials

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information displayed on your profile, including:

  • name;

You must not claim qualifications, specialties, registrations, positions, awards or experience that you do not possess.

You authorise StethNet to verify information supplied by you through publicly available registers, including records maintained by the National Medical Commission, State Medical Councils, educational institutions, employers or other appropriate sources.

StethNet may request documentary evidence before granting or maintaining a verification badge.

A StethNet verification badge indicates only that certain information has been checked using the verification process available to StethNet. It is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of professional competence, conduct or suitability.

Hospitals and employers remain responsible for independently conducting all credentialing and employment checks required by law.

4. Professional and Ethical Conduct

You agree to comply with all laws, regulations and professional standards applicable to you, including applicable rules and ethical requirements of the National Medical Commission and State Medical Councils.

You must not use StethNet to:

  • unlawfully solicit patients;
  • pay or receive commissions, rebates, referral fees or other benefits for procuring patients;
  • arrange fee-splitting relating to patient treatment;

  • engage in conduct amounting to professional misconduct.

StethNet may remove content or restrict accounts that it reasonably believes violate applicable professional rules or these Terms.

5. Patient Information

You must exercise particular care regarding patient information.

Unless expressly permitted by applicable law and necessary for an authorised feature of the Platform, you must not upload or disclose:

  • patient names;
  • patient photographs;
  • medical records;
  • diagnostic reports;
  • prescriptions;
  • identifiable case histories;
  • hospital numbers;
  • contact details; or
  • any other information capable of identifying a patient.

Where professional or educational cases are discussed, you are responsible for ensuring that any required consent has been obtained and that information has been appropriately anonymised or de-identified.

StethNet is not responsible for a user’s unauthorised disclosure of patient information.

6. Jobs and Recruitment

StethNet provides technology that facilitates communication between candidates and healthcare organisations.

StethNet does not guarantee:

  • employment;
  • interview selection;
  • salary;
  • job duration;
  • working conditions;
  • employer conduct;
  • accuracy of every job listing; or
  • suitability of any employer.

You are responsible for evaluating an employer and employment opportunity before entering into an employment, consulting or other professional arrangement.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, StethNet is not a party to an employment agreement between you and an employer.

Any dispute concerning employment, compensation, duties, termination, workplace conditions or contractual obligations is principally between you and the relevant employer.

7. Communications With Recruiters

By making your professional profile available for recruitment, you understand that authorised healthcare organisations and recruiters may view relevant professional information and may contact you regarding professional opportunities.

Your contact details and profile information will be processed in accordance with StethNet’s Privacy Policy and the visibility controls available on the Platform.

You may change applicable visibility or communication preferences where the Platform provides those controls.

8. Professional Content and Medical Information

Content posted on StethNet by doctors or other users may contain professional opinions or educational information.

Such content does not constitute medical advice from StethNet.

Posting or viewing content on StethNet does not by itself create a doctor-patient relationship.

You remain responsible for the professional content that you publish.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content that you lawfully own and upload to StethNet.

By uploading content, you grant StethNet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, process, display and distribute that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the Platform, subject to your privacy settings and our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the rights necessary to upload such content.

You must not upload content that:

  • violates another person’s intellectual property rights;
  • violates confidentiality obligations;
  • is defamatory;
  • is fraudulent or deliberately misleading;
  • is unlawful;
  • contains malicious software;
  • impersonates another person;
  • invades another person’s privacy; or
  • otherwise violates these Terms.

10. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.

You must promptly notify StethNet if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not sell, transfer or knowingly permit another person to impersonate you through your account.

11. Platform Moderation

StethNet may investigate suspected violations of these Terms.

Where reasonably necessary, StethNet may:

  • request verification information;
  • restrict particular features;
  • remove content;
  • reduce distribution of content;
  • suspend an account;
  • terminate an account; or
  • report suspected unlawful conduct to competent authorities.

StethNet may take such action without prior notice where necessary for legal compliance, user safety, fraud prevention, platform security or protection of third parties.

12. Fees

Certain StethNet services may be free while others may require payment.

Any applicable price, subscription period and taxes will be displayed before purchase on the pricing page. Paid plans renew monthly. You may cancel a subscription through the billing page; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are reviewed case by case, subject to applicable law.

Payment for access to StethNet does not guarantee employment, professional opportunities, profile visibility, patient acquisition or business results.

13. No Patient-Referral Commission

StethNet’s recruitment and professional-networking services must not be interpreted as a system for buying or selling patient referrals.

No StethNet user may structure payments, rewards, commissions or other benefits through the Platform in consideration for procuring or referring patients for medical treatment, diagnosis or related services where prohibited by applicable law or professional rules.

14. Third-Party Users and Services

Hospitals, doctors, recruiters and other users act independently of StethNet.

Except where expressly stated, StethNet does not control and is not responsible for their conduct.

StethNet does not guarantee the identity, qualifications, financial condition, intentions, conduct or reliability of every Platform user.

Users should conduct appropriate independent verification before entering into professional or financial arrangements.

15. Privacy

Personal data collected through the Platform will be handled in accordance with StethNet’s Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data-protection law.

You agree to provide accurate information and to exercise reasonable care before uploading personal information concerning another person.

These Terms do not replace StethNet’s Privacy Policy or any consent or notice required separately under applicable data-protection law.

16. Intellectual Property

The StethNet name, trademarks, logos, interface, software, design and proprietary Platform materials belong to StethNet or its licensors.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or create unauthorised derivative works from StethNet’s proprietary technology or branding.

17. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StethNet is provided on an “as available” basis.

StethNet does not warrant that:

  • every user is trustworthy;
  • every credential supplied by a user is genuine;
  • every job listing is accurate;
  • employment will result from use of the Platform;
  • the Platform will always operate without interruption; or
  • user-generated content is accurate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StethNet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from:

  • employment decisions;
  • acts or omissions of hospitals or recruiters;
  • user-generated content;
  • unauthorised representations by other users;
  • loss of professional opportunities;
  • disputes between users; or
  • events outside StethNet’s reasonable control.

Subject to liabilities that cannot legally be limited, StethNet’s aggregate liability arising from your use of the Platform will not exceed the total amount paid by you directly to StethNet during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this provision limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

19. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify StethNet against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising directly from:

  • fraudulent information supplied by you;
  • your unauthorised use of another person’s information;
  • your breach of professional obligations;
  • your unlawful disclosure of patient information;
  • content uploaded by you that infringes third-party rights; or
  • your material breach of these Terms.

20. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using StethNet at any time.

StethNet may suspend or terminate an account for reasons including:

  • fraudulent credentials;
  • impersonation;
  • serious professional misconduct;
  • unlawful content;
  • repeated violation of these Terms;
  • misuse of patient information;
  • attempts to manipulate the Platform;
  • security threats; or
  • legal or regulatory requirements.

Termination does not eliminate obligations or liabilities that arose before termination.

21. Changes to These Terms

StethNet may revise these Terms when reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Platform, applicable law or regulatory requirements.

Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.

Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

22. Complaints and Grievances

Concerns regarding the Platform, content or another user’s conduct may be reported through:

  • Grievance Officer: Siddhi Patel
  • Email: stethnet@gmail.com
  • Correspondence address: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

StethNet will process grievances in accordance with applicable Indian law.

23. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
